About Me

I am Heather Bryant, owner, operator, baker, and cake decorator of Sweet Temptations Bakery. All throughout my childhood I enjoyed baking with my mom- Christmas cookies, cakes, brownies, breads, muffins, pies...you name it- we did it! I continued this love of baking into adulthood and have expanded on our family favorite recipes over the years. My yummy creations were always requested at get-togethers and beyond. After a few years of brewing over how I could make my love of baking into more than a hobby I took the plunge. I completed the four Wilton Method courses in cake decorating and also worked with a good friend at Kalico Kitchen in Richmond, VA to continue developing my decorating skills. I left my full time job as a scientist to become a stay-at-home mom to my four kiddos (Lucas is  7, and Peyton and Kayleigh are 5, and Josie is 6 months old) once the twins arrived. I also decided to take the plunge into my own business adventure/childhood dream- Sweet Temptations Bakery!



I do both buttercream and fondant work, with the most popular being a buttercream cake with fondant accents. I also enjoy working with gumpaste, royal icing, and colorflow as different decorating techniques and mediums. I really enjoy creating unique edible works of art and hope that you will allow me to help you celebrate that special occasion or "just because" with a cake, cupcakes, or some other special treat!
