"How far in advance do you need my order?"
Since the bakery is only me, I can accomodate a certain number of orders each week, so the sooner you contact me... the better! At minimum for decorated cake orders, I would like to have two weeks notice, but, may be able to accomodate you in a week's time, if I am not already booked. Spring tends to be a VERY busy time of year so I do advise contacting me for availabilty as early as possible….
Bottom Line: It's never to early to contact me!!! :) I can at least get you on the calender with an estimated number of servings needed and we can work out the details closer to the date of your event.
"What is the best way to contact you?"
You can call, or email. If I am not home, just leave a message and I will return your call. Sometimes emails work best since I have three little ones at home ;) Calls and emails are typically responded to within 24 hours.

“Do you have any advice on selecting a design for my custom creation?”
I love working with my customers to create their customized cake.
A good place to start when thinking of your design for a special gathering is the theme of the party.
Is it a formal or casual occasion?
Is there a certain color scheme you would like to use?(I will gladly color match icings as close as possible to your desired shade)
What decorations will be used for the party?
Some other great places to start include the party invitations, nursery decoration for baby showers, etc.
And you can always get great ideas by looking at previous cakes I have done OR on the internet using a general search for images. (Ex. Firetruck cake)
"Do you deliver?"
Yes, fees do apply for home delivery. Otherwise customers pick up their orders from my home. We live in Mechanicsville, VA just off of 295 and Rt. 360.

“What forms of payment do you accept?”
I currently accept checks or cash.
“Do you have a list of references I could contact if needed?”
I would be more than happy to give you the contact information of my past customers. I really enjoy hearing my customers feedback and love receiving recommendations from past customers
